Welcome to BroadwayBaseball.com, the official website of Broadway Optimist Club's Ball Program. We are located at Lett Family Park on Gilbert Lett Drive in Broadway, NC and sanctioned by Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth League, Inc.. Our objective is to provide an enjoyable, instructional, and equitable program for all kids while promoting a safe playing environment and emphasizing good sportsmanship. We offer programs throughout the year for different age groups.
Spring Ball: Spring Baseball kicks off in March with T-ball with children ages 4 to 6. Hitting the ball from a tee, this is very casual play where children are taught how to throw and catch the ball and run the bases. 7 &8 league uses the machine arm pitch method. Player pitch baseball is played in the 9 & 10, 11 & 12, & 13-15 leagues.
Fall Ball: A good time for extra instruction, the same leagues that play in Spring Ball can return for a few more months of Fall Ball. Girls FastPitch Softball is also offered in the fall. Those who would like to try a hand at playing baseball can also register at this time. The Fall Ball program begins in August.
